The Origin Story – "How It All Began"
The Flute That Found Him
In 2012, a simple bamboo flute came into Aditya Teja’s life. It came into his hands through a friend, playfully. It was not professionally tuned, nor did he expect much from it. But that innocent moment became the turning point of his life.
He started playing it casually, but soon he began to hear something deeper — a silence within the sound. He realised it wasn’t an instrument to impress or entertain, but a companion of solitude. A guide. A mirror.
It became a tool of surrender. Of tuning. Of breath. Of silence. It awakened something ancient inside him.

The Pandemic Turning Point
During the pandemic, in a forest in West Bengal, Aditya encountered a shepherd who was handcrafting a bamboo flute. Watching this simple, rural man shape sound with his bare hands was a moment of transformation.
It triggered something deep. Aditya realised that flute-making wasn’t separate from flute-playing. That creating a flute could be as meditative and spiritual as playing one.
He began learning the sacred science of flute crafting. He would source bamboo, cure and dry it, shape it, and test it. He would breathe life into it through meticulous attention, devotion, and silence.
A School is Born
After years of inner exploration and musical wandering, Aditya felt the urge to create a sacred space for sharing this path.
On 28th September 2021, Aditya Flutes was officially founded—not as a commercial venture, but as a spiritual platform for those who wish to use music as a means of transformation and joy.—not as a commercial venture, but as a spiritual platform for those who wish to use music as a means of transformation and joy.

The Journey – "Across Lands, With the Flute"
With the flute, Aditya wandered. From temples in Varanasi to forests in the Western Ghats, from ashrams in Sri Lanka to caves in the Himalayas, he traveled not to perform—but to be. He played in solitude, in satsangs, in sacred spots, in bustling crowds, and in utter stillness.
Through all this, he began to see the flute not just as a me–dium of music—but as a medium of mindfulness, devotion, and self-exploration. His journey was one of surrendering to the flute and being guided by it.
